Rocking on…

Phase 5 ports creek, pinch point

The first stage of our work includes the placement of all rock into a so-called revetment all along Ports Creek and it has been progressing nicely: we are at over a quarter of rock works complete and earth embankment work will commence soon, moving to the next stage of building the embankment you can see in the above illustration.

bird boxes installed

Bird boxes installed

Our team have been busy the last few weeks installing a variety of bird boxes designed to support local wildlife. The bird boxes, which are manufactured in Germany, are perfect for sparrows, red starts, robins, wrens, starlings and many other bird species local to the area.

Design features include different size entrance holes to avoid competition between the birds, as well as ensuring that plenty of daylight is filtered in.

They also are large enough to provide overnight shelter for our feathered friends. We hope they enjoy their new homes!

Hilsea Lido update

Hilsea lido play park

Playtime!

You may have seen it from the road: there’s new play equipment at the park by Hilsea Lido!

The park is officially open now, so if you haven’t taken the kids there yet, go and check it out. As well as new equipment, there’s fresh sand and the area around the park has been tidied up too.
