There are several areas of gravel surfaces that will be refreshed, including the zig-zag paths, areas beneath benches, and around the stepping stones. The main coastal path will remain open to the public throughout these works.
Work is due to start on Wednesday 6 May.
A temporary compound will be set up near the allotments to store materials and machinery. From the following week, we will begin fencing off the paths where work is taking place. The Hilsea Lines Pantry will remain open, as will access to the allotments.
We expect to be working in this area until the beginning of July, subject to weather conditions. Good weather is required to lay the gravel and for it to cure.
