Preparations are continuing across the North Portsea Coastal Scheme as sections of the site move closer to opening. Contractors are completing new Breedon gravel paths, clearing areas for public access and carrying out final landscaping works to help bring the space to life.
Recent rainfall has helped newly seeded grass begin to establish, while natural drainage features and carefully designed pathways will help keep routes accessible during wet weather. The team is also making the site safe for visitors by clearing fallen and unsafe trees, allowing healthy vegetation to thrive.
Elsewhere, a former reptile enclosure has been removed now that nearby construction work is largely complete, and visitors can already spot local wildlife including a family of swans enjoying the waterways around Foxes Forest.
