Work at Ports Creek is moving ahead well, with the embankment now being prepared for planting. Layers of topsoil and geotextile are being added to stabilise the slope, ready for hydroseeding later in the year to help grass and vegetation establish quickly.
Key features are now in place, including natural coir rolls to prevent erosion and new drainage measures to manage water in this clay-heavy area. The haul road has been removed and the path base laid, with the final gravel surface coming soon.
Elsewhere, work continues in Milton and Tipner, while SSE are on site near the railway bridge before the final section of path can be completed.
